4th Annual Wild Salmon Feast Coming to Trinity
The 4th Annual Wild Salmon Feast takes place Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 5:30 to 8:30pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d'Alene. This delicious dinner and auction features wild-caught salmon from the cold waters of Bristol Bay, Alaska, and is a benefit for Family Promise of North Idaho in support of families struggling with the crisis of homelessness. In addition to Salmon, alternate entrees include Chicken and Vegetarian fare, and all are paired with salad, gourmet rice, vegetables, French bread and beverages. Thrivent for Lutherans Matches Funds Raised at TLC for 3rd Wild Salmon Feast
(COEUR D’ALENE - March 18, 2011) –Thrivent Financial for Lutherans recently provided a monetary boost to a fundraising effort held in February for Family Promise® of North Idaho (FPNI).
Cindy Wood, Executive Director of FPNI, accepted a check for $1,000 as a match for funds raised at the 3rd Annual Wild Salmon Feast. The tasty benefit had netted $3,734, bringing the total raised to $4,734. The dinner was sponsored by Trinity Lutheran of Coeur d’Alene. White Cane Sockeye Salmon of Coeur d’Alene provided the tasty wild salmon for the event which has become a popular annual affair.
“We are so grateful to all who have made this wonderful donation possible,” says Wood. “It is exciting to see the support of so many people, as the community becomes more aware of the important work of Family Promise.”
